Privacy policy for newsWorks apps

For the mobile apps of newsWorks GmbH., Available via the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, the following separate privacy policy provisions apply

The protection of your personal data is important to newsWorks GmbH.

By downloading our application from the iTunes Appstore or Android Market, you have legitimized yourself to the respective Appstore, e.g. via your Apple ID. It may be, that the privacy policy guidelines of Apple and Google currently do not fully meet the requirements of the European General privacy policy Regulation (GDPR). A use of the data collected in connection with the download or the use of the applications by Apple or Google that is not in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation can therefore not be excluded by newsWorks GmbH. NewsWorks GmbH has no influence on this. However, newsWorks GmbH does not pass on data to Apple or Google.

2. Collection of personal data when you visit our mobile applications (apps)

newsWorks GmbH collects and uses personal data of its users only insofar as this is necessary to provide a functional app as well as the content and services.

Each time the app is called up, the system automatically collects the following data from the computer system of the calling device: login email and password for downloading the latest data. This access is stored anonymously and used for a performance analysis. No data is saved that allows conclusions to be drawn about the device or the individual user.

The transfer of the data is necessary for the operation of the app, so that you have no right of appeal.

4. Note on app permissions

When installing the app on your device, you can decide whether you would like to receive push messages from newsWorks GmbH (Apple) or you will be informed that newsWorks GmbH offers push messages that you can turn off (Android). We collect, save and use the following data to send push messages: "pushkey" parameter (Apple or Google key via which the push is then sent), "os" parameter (to differentiate between the Android and iOS operating systems), "company" parameter (User assignment, to identify the authorized downloads)

The data is required to ensure the device-specific delivery of the push messages in accordance with the push configuration in the app. The legal basis for the processing of this data is your consent, Art. 6 Para. 1 a) GDPR. You can deactivate the push notification function at any time by selecting the appropriate app in the settings of your smartphone under “Apps” and then configuring the notification function as required. We will then automatically remove the data.

Except for this page, external content is only available via the downloaded data. The data provider from whom you received the access data is responsible for this. You can inquire about the associated data protection regulations from them.

6. Your rights

If your personal data is processed, you as the person concerned have the following rights vis-à-vis newsWorks GmbH as the person responsible within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

You have the right to request information from newsWorks GmbH about the personal data processed about you in accordance with the statutory provisions (Art. 15 GDPR). You also have the right to have incorrect or incomplete personal data relating to you corrected and / or completed (Art. 16 GDPR). Under the conditions set out in Art. 18 GDPR, you have the right to restrict processing. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time (Art. 21 GDPR) and to revoke your consent to the processing of personal data at any time (Art. 13 Para. 2 lit. c) GDPR ).Withdrawing your consent does not affect the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of your consent up to the point of withdrawal. Since, apart from the access authorization and possibly the "Push ID", no individual data is stored by us and these can be deleted either by deleting the application or managing the data provider, there is no need to ask us to delete them. We always keep this data protection declaration up to date. We therefore reserve the right to change it from time to time and to update changes in the collection, processing or use of your data.
